The Narcissus is poisonous for both cats and dogs.
Typical symptoms include abdominal pain, cardiac arrhythmias, diarrhea, drooling, large ingestions cause convulsions, low blood pressure, nausea, tremors, salvation and vomiting.
Narcissus are perennial plants that have white or yellow flowers with six petal-like tepals surmounted by cup shaped corona. They belong to the amaryllis family, Amaryllidaceae and also known for names such as jonquil and daffodil.
