Andromeda Japonica is a small tree or shrub that is native in mountainous areas of Taiwan, Japan and China. It has white flowers and alternate leaves on brittle stems. Its name is derived from the names of its earlier genus which is Andromeda.

The scientific name for this plant is Pieris japonica. Additional name for this plant include Japanese Andromeda, Japanese Pieris, Lily-of-the-Valley Bush and Pieris.
