Arrow-Head Vine is the mostly grown species in the genus Syngonium as houseplant. They are native to a wide region of Latin America from Mexico to Bolivia, and naturalized in the West Indies,Texas, Florida and Hawaii. This is considered a very poisonous plant as all of its parts are toxic and could cause severe mouth pain if eaten.

The scientific name for this plant is Syngonium podophyllum. Additional name for this plant include African Evergreen, Arrowhead Plant, Arrowhead Philodendron, American Evergreen, Goosefoot, Green Gold Naphthysis, Nephthytis and Trileaf Wonder.
