Barbados Lily is perennial herbaceous bulbous plants that is native to tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas from Argentina north to Mexico and the Caribbean. It features tall evergreen broad leaves, large red or purple flowers and large bulbs.
The scientific name for this plant is Hippeastrum spp. Additional name for this plant include Amaryllis, Fire Lily, Lily of the Palace and Ridderstjerne.
