Cape Jasmine  is an evergreen flowering plant  that grows in warm temperate and subtropical climates particularly in Asia. It belongs in the coffee family Rubiaceae. It has fragrant white flowers and shiny green leaves. Cape Jasmine is widely used in gardens and as a houseplant.

The scientific name for this plant is Gardenia jasminoides. Additional name for this plant include Cape Jessamine, Danh-Danh, Gardenia and Jasmin.
