Chinaberry Tree is a species of deciduous tree in the mahogany family, Meliacea which is native to Australasia and Indomalaya. When it matures, the tree displays a rounded crown and marble sized light yellow drupe fruit. The leaves could grow up to 50 cm long, alternate, long-petioled and the leaflets are dark green above and lighter green below.
The scientific name for this plant is Melia azedarach. Additional name for this plant include Bead Tree, Cape Lilac, China Ball Tree, Indian Lilac, Japanese Bead Tree, Paradise Tree, Persian Lilac, Pride-of-India, Syringa Berrytree, Texas Umbrella Tree and White Cedar.
