Dumbcane i s a genus of tropical flowering plants which are widely cultivated as ornamental plants, houseplants and can be seen on a few tropical islands. It originated from New World Tropics from Mexico and the West Indies south to Argentina.

The scientific name for this plant is Dieffenbachia. Additional name for this plant include Charming Dieffenbachia, Dieffenbachia, Exotica Perfection, Giant Dumb Cane, Exotica, Spotted Dumb Cane, Mother-in-Law’s Tongue and Tropic Snow.
