The Gold Dieffenbachia is poisonous for both cats and dogs.

Typical symptoms include Difficulty swallowing, drooling, irritation of mouth, pawing in the mouth and vomiting.

Gold Dieffenbachia has its origins in southern Mexico, through Central America, to northern South America and Brazil. This herbaceous perennial plant also known as dumbcane is a species of Dieffenbachia. It grows to 3 ft to 10 ft  in height and 2 ft to 3 ft in width. It has showy white flowers and large and green leaves with white patterns.

The scientific name for this plant is Dieffenbachia picta. Additional name for this plant include Spotted Dumbcane.
