Golden Ragwort  is a genus of the daisy family and is distributed almost worldwide. It is one of the largest genus of flowering plants. Some species produce natural toxins to kill animals that would eat them. But there some that are used as food plants for the larvae of butterflies.

The scientific name for this plant is Senecio species. Additional name for this plant include Groundsel, Old-Man-in-the-Spring, Ragwort, Senecio and Tansy.
