Lace Fern is commonly found patios and decks as ornamental plants in hanging baskets. They are perennial plants which are related to the vegetable asparagus. However, this plant has long wiry stems that are bushy at first yet develops to long, twining stems of bright green, feathery fronds.

The scientific name for this plant is Asparagus densiflorus cv sprengeri. Additional name for this plant include Asparagus, Asparagus Fern, Climbing Asparagus, Climing Feather Fern, Emerald Feather, Emerald Fern, Feather Fern, Plumosa Fern, Racemose Asparagus, Shatavari and Sprengeri Fern.
