Plantain Lily is herbaceous perennial plants, a member of the family Asparagaceae, subfamily Agavoideae. This plant genus was classified before in the Liliaceae family just like many other lilioid monocots. They are characterized by growing from rhizomes or stolons with broad lanceolate or ovate leaves varying widely in size by species. Its flowers grow on upright woody scapes and remain on the plant throughout winter.
