Primrose  is a perennial plant  growing 10-30 cm tall in the family Primulaceae. Its flowers are typically pale yellow and bloom from December to May. The plant is self-fertile. Primrose is native to southern and western Europe.

The scientific name for this plant is Primula vulgaris. Additional name for this plant include Common Primrose and English Primrose.
