The Ragwort is poisonous for both cats and dogs.

Typical symptoms include aimless walking, anorexia, ataxia, depression, diarrhea, incoordination, liver failure, muddy mucous membranes, sleepiness, vomiting, weakness, weight loss and yawning.

Ragworts is a flowering plant that came from the genus of the daisy family. Its scientific name Senecio, is a Latin genus name, meaning old man.  Ragworts is known as one of the largest flowering plants which has more than 1000 species.

The scientific name for this plant is Senecio species. Additional name for this plant include Golden Ragwort, Groundsel, Old-Man-in-the-Spring, Ragwort, Senecio and Tansy.
