The Showy Daisy is poisonous for both cats and dogs.

Typical symptoms include diarrhea, nausea, upset stomach, and vomiting.

Showy Daisy can be found in western Canada and the United States.  It is a widespread flowering plants daisy family. It is a perennial herb up to 100 cm tall and grows on prairies and in open coniferous forests.  Each flower head contains up to hundreds of lavender, white and blue florets around the yellow disc florets.

The scientific name for this plant is Erigeron speciosus. Additional name for this plant include Aspen Fleabane, Fleabane, Garden Fleabane, Horseweed, Seaside Daisy, and Showy Fleabane.
