The Snake Lilly is poisonous for both cats and dogs.

Typical symptoms include abdominal pain, diarrhea, drooling, lethargy, salivation, skin irritation, ulcers of the mouth and vomiting.

Snake Lily are perennial plants with showy flowers.  It is a popular garden flower with  260–300 species of flowering plants with a variety of colors. A  common name for some species is flags. Its name originated from the Greek goddess of the rainbow, Iris. They have long, simple or branched, erect flowering stems, flattened or have a circular cross-section and solid or hollow. The subgenus Scorpiris are widely known as junos.

The scientific name for this plant is Iris species. Additional name for this plant include Iris, Flag, Yellow Flag, Yellow Iris and Water Flag.
